About This Game
This is an Indie game made by one person only, and two actors for the voices.

UAYEB is a solo story driven adventure / survival / puzzle game, placed in an open world of 16km2, with the immersive First Person view.
Craft your equipment and explore a vast world to find Mayans artifacts.

Game details:
This is not a survival sandbox game. The survival parts are used to add variety and difficulty to the adventure.
The game is driven by a story that will go through four episodes. Each episode is a full consequent game of 20 to 30 hours of gameplay.

You as Uayeb, will explore and survive in a hostile environment, you will find clues helped by your friend archeologist Joanna, to discover Mayan artifacts that will lead you to the lost civilization, you will craft your equipment to be ready for the adventure.

SOLVE PUZZLES:
Nothing in UAYEB will be shown with a big arrow.
You will have to think by yourself to know where to go, and to solve puzzles you’ll be helped by Joanna’s clues that she will put somewhere in the world.

SURVIVE:
Drink, eat, sleep, cold and hot places, stamina, heal, batteries, weapons and ammunition.
Avoid deadly traps, stay alive in underwater caves, jump on moving Mayan platforms, don’t touch swords traps that arise from ground.

EXPLORE:
Explore a vast world with desert and dune sand, forests and water falls, beaches and a lost city, and find clues that will lead you to Mayan artifacts.

CRAFTING:
Find blueprints and collect resources to build up your own equipment.

FIGHT:
Defend yourself against hostile survivors with three different fire weapons and melee moves.

ARTIFACTS:
There will be a lot of Mayan artifacts to find for finishing the first episode. Each artifact will be a level specific with traps, platforms, puzzles and enemies.
You will need to find clues to be able to reach the artifacts.

To find the Mayans artifacts you will encounter moving platforms, unstable parts or planks, swords traps, balls with spikes falling, other deadly mechanisms, sulfur sprays that will project you in the air and few more surprises!

Time in game:
Like the real world, the time in Uayeb will turn around 24 hours.
1 hour in real life is like around 2h30 in game.
You can sleep at any time (if you have a bed), to rest and pass the time faster.

Length:
Episode 1 will be at betwin 20 to 30 hours of gameplay depending of you skills.
It could even take you more time as you can live and explore the world without restriction, as long as you eat and drink.

There are also music bonuses to find and easter eggs of games and films references.

The Apartment – Psychological Thriller Game
The Apartment is bringing together quite unique mix of genres, combination of first person detective action-adventure game and psychological horror with some interesting puzzles, all tied together with dark and heavy story. It is not a pure horror and it’s not just a story adventure either.

The Investigation
As detective James Sachs, you lead the investigation of several murders in your area. Young girls were found dead, arranged and with strange injuries that don’t make any sense. It’s up to you to find out who these girls were. Why were they killed. And find the murderer before he strikes again and solve the case. Case that might prove to be more difficult and challenging than you ever imagined.

Main gameplay of the action-adventure part focuses on detective work – exploring crime scenes, finding evidence, connecting clues, completing simple word puzzles or physics puzzles and piece together the whole story.
Not all evidence on the crime scene is crucial for finding the killer. There is also a lot of wrong choices you can make, wrong questions you can ask. So you will need to pay attention and think about your actions. Before your investigation ends up in a dead end.

The Nightmare
Horror part of The Apartment is focused more on psychological horror, rather than jumpscares or survival horror. There is no monster hunting you down, there is no threat that you can see (but don’t worry, there is still lot of way you can die in this game). The main purpose is to create unsettling and eerie atmosphere and make the player as uncomfortable and creeped out as possible. Why? What is your goal? Survive? Win? Escape? No matter what is happening, you can only be certain of one thing now – nothing makes sense anymore.

There is no clear line between “investigation” and “horror” parts. You can never tell what is waiting around the next corner. Both worlds of reality and nightmare are slowly fusing together. But is there even such a thing as reality anymore?

The Apartment is very diverse in its environments. Don’t expect single, unchanging surroundings. This game is switching scenes and environments faster than you would imagine. Always trying to keep one step ahead of the player.
Path forward is often blocked with simple, yet interesting puzzles. Word puzzles, number puzzles, simple physics stuff, but also some play with light and shadows.

Total gameplay time is 4,5 – 5,5 hours and the main story culminates in grand, action-packed finale.

NOTE: Solving puzzles is big part of the game, so be prepared for that.
Basic understanding of English might be required for some of the puzzles, so keep that in mind.

Dive Into a Vast Underwater World
You have crash-landed on alien ocean world, and the only way to go is down. Craft knives, lights, diving gear, and personal water craft. Venture deeper and further form to find rarer resources, allowing you to craft more advanced items.

Construct Underwater Habitats
Build bases on the sea floor. Choose layouts and components, and manage hull-integrity as depth and pressure increase. Use your base to store resources, park vehicles, and replenish oxygen supplies as you explore the vast ocean.

Unravel the Mystery
What happened to this planet? Signs abound that something is not right. What caused you to crash? What is infecting the sea life? Who built the mysterious structures scattered around the ocean? Can you find a way to make it off the planet alive?

Disrupt the Food Chain
The ocean teems with life: Use the ecosystem to help you. Lure and distract a threatening creature with a fresh fish, or simply swim as fast as you can to avoid gnashing jaws of roaming predators.

Handle the Pressure
Build a Pressure Re-Active Waterproof Nanosuit, or PRAWN Suit, and explore extreme depth and heat. Modify the suit with mining drills, torpedo launchers, propulsion cannons, grappling hooks and more.

About the Development Team
Subnautica is being created by Unknown Worlds, a small studio founded by Charlie Cleveland and Max McGuire that traces its roots back to the 2003 Half-Life mod Natural Selection.
